Reksadana (Mutual Fund)

i just wanna share about investing in Mutual Fund called Reksadana. Did ya know, what is Reksadana? How it’s works? How about the return of investment?
Oke, simple for example. You bought a Gold with price IDR 400,000 per gram, then you bid IDR 4,000,000 you have collected 10 gram Golds. After, maybe, 1 years you hold the gold the price is going up to IDR 550,000 per gram then you sell your gold, you have IDR 5,500.000 (10 gram x IDR 550,000). Yipii, your gain is IDR 1,500,000 rite?
Same like that illustration, Reksadana has a price called NAV (Net Asset Value) and you can buy or sell anytime.
Reksadana is accumulating all money from investors, Fund Manager have to arrange the allocation to many asset which match with the prospectus then Custodian Bank have to keep the fund. The objective of Reksadana is maximalize returns and minimalized a risk.
There are 4 clasification in Reksadana.
1. Money market : 100% allocation in Pasar Uang (Money Market), low risk, low return, and just hold for maximum 1 year. This is for conservative investor, they didn’t want to have a big risky.
2, Fixed Income : 80 % in fixed income (bond) and 20% in money market. Composition is Goverment Bond and Corporate Bond. This is good for 2 years holded. Medium return and medium risk.
3. Balance : This Reksadana begin to buy an equity 70%-80%, or maybe 50%. Medium till High risk same as the return. This is good if you want to hold them till 3 years.
4. Equity : I think this is a very interesting Reksadana for Risk Taker Investor, hahaha. The composition is minimum 80% in equity fund then choosing money market or fixed income for the left. Ofcourse, high risk and high return, you can hold this for more than 3 years. Maybe the range of the return is 25%-35% per year. Yipii..
